Shop ‘Til You Drop

 

  • Have students look through catalogues and write down 5 things they would like to buy and their cost. 
  • Have students describe the steps they will have to complete to actually get one of the items (e.g., do some chores to earn the money, have parents drive them to the mall, find the items in the store, pay for the item, get parents to pick them up at a certain time, etc.).
  • Have students make a decision about each of their 5 items as to whether they actually want to go through all the steps and purchase the item.
